Tread Lightly! and HCF Motorsports Announce Upcoming Jeep Giveaway Fundraiser

NORTH SALT LAKE, UT. (Apr 13, 2022) — Tread Lightly!, a national nonprofit organization responsible for promoting responsible recreation, today announced a collaboration with HCF Motorsports, on the launch of a 2021 Jeep Wrangler JLU giveaway fundraiser in support of Tread Lightly!’s mission to protect off-road access through stewardship and education.   HCF Motorsports is owned and operated by one of the nation’s leading female OHV drivers, Hollie Fowler, and serves as a one-stop-shop for offroad lifestyle merchandise and content about the vehicles built and maintained by Hollie and her husband Walter.

“We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for both the donation of this vehicle, but also the incredible amount of time donated by the HCF Motorsports team and their industry friends and partners,” said Matt Caldwell, Executive Director of Tread Lightly!. “Thank you to everyone who has stepped up in such a big way to support Tread Lightly! and the future of off-road access.”   Hollie worked alongside friends Ian Johnson of Big Tire Garage, and the team at System 7 Offroad Custom Garage to build this dream Jeep with product support from industry partners such as BFGoodrich Tires, Artec Industries, KMC Wheels, Factor 55, onX Offroad, Hepta Mfg., Warn Industries, RPM Steering, Optima Batteries, Stinger Offroad, Power Tank, Bestop, PRP Seats, KC Hilites, R1 Concepts, Rock Monster USA, Balljoint Eliminators, Radflo Suspension Technology, and Tom Woods Drive Custom Shafts.

“We’re very grateful to every partner who has donated time and products to support Tread Lightly! and this build,” said HCF Motorsports President Hollie Fowler. “It’s a testament to the entire offroad industry that so many amazing companies would come together to support the enthusiasts across the country by raising money that will directly fund programs that protect off-road trail access and promote public land stewardship.”   The Jeep, valued at $77,000, will be taken on tour during the length of the giveaway and be taken to several off-road events throughout the country, beginning at Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. The vehicle will also be displayed at the following events: April 13: Easter Jeep Safari Moab4x4 Expo April 14-15: Easter Jeep Safari Red Rock 4-Wheelers Vendor Show June 11-12: Bantam Heritage Jeep Festival June 17-19: Anthracite Offroad Adventure Area with Ultimate 4×4 Field Trip July 15-17: Black Mountain Outdoor Adventure Area with Ultimate 4×4 Field Trip July 29-31: Windrock Park with Ultimate 4×4 Field Trip August 26-28: Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion September 16-18: Wolf Caves with Ultimate 4×4 Field Trip September 23-25: Palo Duro Challenge October 3-8: Trail Hero   “I’m very excited to launch this giveaway and support an organization that will support the off-road community as a whole,” said Ian Johnson. “Knowing Hollie, I expected this giveaway Jeep wouldn’t be a typical build and when she asked for my help, I was more than happy to lend both my expertise and shop space here at the Big Tire Garage. I know Hollie wanted this vehicle to be as close to the MischiefMaker as you can get but still have its own presence, and I think she achieved that goal. I’m proud to be involved in this project and help create someone’s dream rig.”   To learn more about the Jeep Giveaway, including Mischief Maker tour dates, go to treadlightly.org/JeepGiveaway.

Dixie 4 Wheel Drive Hosted a FREE Off-road Vendor Show

During 2021 Easter Jeep Safari (EJS)

This year the Off-Road Community was in shock when they heard Easter Jeep Safari had to unfortunately cancel their vendor show at the Spanish Trails Arena on February 3rd. Knowing the negative effects of not aligning vendors with customers for the off-road community, Dixie 4 Wheel Drive decided to hire Unofficial Use Only and Moab 4x4 Expo to help produce the first Dixie Offroad Expo.

Big thank you San Juan County for allowing the expo to take place, with little to no notice, and for being such a pleasure to work with. The expo team and Dixie 4 Wheel Drive appreciates all your support.

The expo was declared a success by the vendors and offload community with a total of 75+ vendors and over 3,500 attendees over the course of two days. Large corporate vehicle sponsors supported the event along with a diverse expo including high quality vendors such as Bronco, OPTIMA Batteries, JEEP, ARB, Fox, BDS, JKS, Icon, 4 Wheel Parts, Nitto Tire, Ultra 4 Racing, Gambler 500, Funhaver, Quake LED, Truck Hero, Skyjacker, Rugged Radios, Pitbull RC, Silver Sport Transmissions ....just to name a few. All of the four-wheeling fanatics were amazed at how quickly the event was organized and executed. Vendors could not thank the team enough for stepping up and taking on the expo with little time and notice.

The vendors were very impressed with the organization, quality of vendors, and amount of marketing online and around town. They were also pleased to see attendees greeted by energetic and inviting staff when arriving to the expo.

The All-New Ford Bronco™ and Bronco Sport were available for an in-vehicle experience in Moab during the Dixie Offroad Expo. Attendees had the opportunity to hop into the passenger seat of the Ford Bronco, or into the driver’s seat of a Bronco Sport, and take tours on the epic Moab trail, Behind the Rocks.

A fleet of custom Ford Broncos including Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s RTR Bronco, ARB's four-door Badlands Bronco, 4 Wheel Parts' Bronco with Black Diamond trim, 4 Wheel Parts' Bronco Sport with a slick rooftop tent and tailgate-mounted spare tire carrier, and a stock Bronco four-door with the Sasquatch Package were seen wheeling around iconic Moab trails.

The Dixie Offroad Expo was held at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive’s Moab location located at 11858 S. Highway 191 Moab, Utah 84592, just outside of Grand County, in San Juan County. Utilizing acres of their own and neighboring private properties, Dixie 4 Wheel Drive hosted 75+ vendors in their 2-day show that ran Tuesday, March 30th through Wednesday, March 31st. Admission was FREE to the public.

The Dixie Offroad Expo took this opportunity to donate to Tread Lightly! to help support their efforts to keep Moab's outdoor recreation areas beautiful, healthy and accessible. Tread Lightly! is a national nonprofit organization with a mission to promote responsible, motorized recreation through stewardship programs and ethics education to ensure off-roading opportunities are accessible for future generations.

“We are all overdue for some great off road events to get under way.” says Tara Thompson, Dixie 4 Wheel Drive’s General Manager. Tara and her team are excited for the opportunity to showcase their beautiful 8,000 sq ft Moab shop and host many of their great, every day, partners at the same time.

Dixie 4 Wheel Drive to Host FREE Offroad Vendor Show

During 2021 Easter Jeep Safari (EJS)

Like many of Moab’s small businesses, Dixie 4 Wheel Drive has felt a strong impact due to Covid and Covid related closures over the last year. This year the Off-Road Community was in shock when we heard Easter Jeep Safari had to unfortunately cancel the vendor show at the arena on February 3rd.

Thankfully, Red Rock 4 Wheeler’s (RR4W) decided to still host their guided trail runs. Knowing the negative effects of not aligning vendors with customers for the off-road community, Dixie 4 Wheel Drive decided to hire the Unofficial Use Only and Moab 4x4 Expo team to help produce the first Dixie Offroad Expo.

When contacted, San Juan County supported the expo taking place, with little to no notice. Their team was very responsive and supportive during the early planning phases of the Dixie Offroad Expo.

The Dixie Offroad Expo will be held at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive’s Moab location located at 11858 S. Highway 191 Moab, Utah 84592, just outside of Grand County, in San Juan County. Utilizing acres of their own and neighboring private properties, Dixie 4 Wheel Drive will host 75+ vendors in their 2 day show that will run Tuesday, March 30th through Wednesday, March 31st. Admission is FREE to the public (Register Online to save time!) and the show hours will be from 9am-5pm. The expo will operate according to several Utah State Covid guidelines. Vendor space pricing and information can be found at www.dixieoffroadexpo.com and any questions regarding the event can be emailed to Sales@dixieOffroadExpo.com.
